Fescue
grass prefers a loose, well-draining soil. Fescue grass can
thrive in full sun to part shade. Fescue grass does well in
cool, coastal areas. Fescue grass is very drought and heat
tolerant. It is also deer resistant. Fescue grass will not
do well in wet poorly drained soil. Place fescue grass in
a full sun location.
The
blue gray foliage creates great pattern effect in borders
or as a foreground planting. Fescue grass will not tolerate
foot traffic. This hardy perennial has low to moderate moisture
requirements. The flowers are insignificant and should be
removed to help retain the mound like effect.
